Emilia Romagna Festival, Press Release
This year the vast programme of the Festival Emilia Romagna, which has always been open for young talents and has seen concerts of the winners - young musicians, who have received awards at prestigious competitions like Fischoff Chamber Music Competition in South Bend and Beethoven Piano Competition in Bonn - will see the MIO2012 - Maribor International Orchestra 2012, the orchestra representing the city of Maribor, the European Capital of Culture 2012, on its first European tour. The orchestra is conducted by Klaus Arp (4 August in Teatro Diego Fabbri - Forlì).

... Od ove godine Belef je član Evropske asocijacije festivala, što je izuzetna čast. Beogradski letnji festival će imati i veliku korist od toga, pre svega zbog velike baze podataka i kontakata sa više od 140 evropskih festivala, mogućnosti zajedničkog rada i partnerstva i kofinansiranja programa, kao i velike medijske pažnje koju sve članice ove asocijacije imaju. Predsednik asocijacije i direktor Ljubljana festivala Darko Brlek doći će na Belef da pozdravi publiku i pruži podršku Beogradu u kandidaturi za Evropsku prestonicu kulture 2020. godine, budući da je i član programskog saveta Maribora - Evropske prestonice kulture 2012. godine. Maribor kao evropsku prestonicu kulture promovisaće i Mariborski internacionalni orkestar „MIO 2012", omladinska filharmonija koja će nastupiti 31. jula u Kolarčevoj zadužbini - rekao je zamenik gradskog sekretara za kulturu Aleksandar Peković.

Only few days left before we start our project Connecting through music with Maribor International Orchestra 2012 - Orchestral Academy 2010 - Master Classes 2010. This summer we will host 120 young musicians from 18 countries from all over the world.
